THE LEGION OF MARY

PRESIDENT:  Jose “Jun” Pasion

The LEGION is an ARMY OF MARY for the service in the warfare which is perpetually waged by the Church against the world and its evil power.  The OBJECT of the Legion is the glory of God through the holiness of its members developed by prayer and active co-operation, under ecclesiastical guidance, in Mary’s and the Church’s work of crushing the head of the serpent and advancing the reign of Christ. The SPIRIT of the Legion is profound humility like Mary. 

The LEGIONAIRES’ APOSTOLATE is a)  Home Visitations  b) Pilgrim Virgin Transfer/Block Rosary      b) give communion to the sick and homebound c) Promotion of the Catholic churches to tourists d) Book-Barrow/Dissemination of Catholic Literatures e)  Promotion of the practice of daily Mass and devotion to the Blessed Sacrament f) Recruitment and after care of active and auxiliary members  g)  Rosary making, propagation and distribution      h)  Sponsorship of civilly wed couples for church wedding   i)  Prayer warriors for others j)  Spearheads the reactivation/establishment Legion of Mary chapters in other parishes  k)  The Patrician Meeting -   Its purpose is to build up the religious knowledge of the people, to teach them how to explain themselves and to encourage them to apostleship. Thus, the Patrician Meeting is being held on the last Sunday of every month. A speaker is invited to talk on a suggested topic. Sharing of faith follows.

ST. VINCENT DE PAUL – ST. PATRICK CONFERENCE

PRESIDENT: Raymond Magpantay

The mission of the St. Vincent de Paul Society is to offer hope and service on a direct person-to-person basis, working to break the cycles of homelessness, substance abuse and domestic violence.  In support of the SVDP Programs, our volunteers make hundreds of sandwiches weekly for the homeless shelter nearby.  Also, the group hosts birthday celebrations for the homeless people at the Multi Service Center.  They are committed to do corporal works of mercy.

ST PATRICK YOUTH CHOIR ORGANIZATION  (SPYCO)

PRESIDENT:  Hershie Rosales

SPYCO started in 1995 as a youth choir and through the years developed into a Young Adult Ministry.  Aside from singing during the chuch services SPYCO is also engaged in volunteer work in the Damayan Group at the Bayanihan Center, South of Market.  Recently, they launched the Forever Young Ministry where they did weekly fun activities on Sunday mornings which were actively participated in by senior citizens.

ST PATRICK CHILDREN’S CHOIR ORGANIZATION (SPCCO)

PRESIDENT: Mary Ann Mills

The St. Patrick Children’s Choir (SPCCO) with young ministers, ages 7-15, was established in November 2018.  It aims to develop their God-given talents in singing.  To enhance their aptitude in music, new techniques and workshops will be planned.
